About this Service
I am an experienced CBT therapist and GP. I use warmth and humour to support people in making changes in their lives. My approach involves a range of effective therapies including CBT, mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
I currently offer remote CBT sessions via video or telephone. I am experienced at working with many different emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, worry, stress and burnout, trauma and PTSD, OCD, low self-esteem, anger, low mood, depression and insomnia, and for physical health problems including adjusting to physical illness, disability, cancer and coping with chronic pain and fatigue.
I am also an experienced GP with special interests in mental health and resilience, compassion and supporting a healthy lifestyle. Please contact me and I will be happy to discuss my approach and how I might work with you.

I have undertaken a wide range of postgraduate training courses in CBT, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy and compassion-focused therapy.
As well as offering private one-to-one CBT, I am a practicing general practitioner (GP) in Berkshire and I work for NHS Practitioner Health as a clinican and CBT Therapist supporting doctors with mental health difficulties.
I am director of an organisation which provides training for GPs and health professionals in using CBT in their workplace (www.10minuteCBT.co.uk).
I am author of several books: Using CBT in General Practice: The 10 Minute CBT Handbook and Managing Anxiety Disorders in Primary Care (2020).
My new book for adolescents was published in March 2022: 10 Minutes to Better Mental Health: A Step-by-Step Guide for Teens Using CBT and Mindfulness.
